El Nido’s Limestone cliffs and white sand beaches Exotic location

The Municipality of El Nido, located on the northernmost tip of mainland Palawan, is home to magnificent limestone cliffs and formations, biodiverse ecosystems, crystal-clear waters, stunning beaches, spectacular views, and beautiful people with amazing culture and hospitality – it’s no surprise that Palawan was named the World’s Best Island by travel magazine Travel+Leisure in 2020!

“El Nido” is a Spanish phrase that means “the nest.” Before the tourism boom, El Nido’s major trade was the thriving Balinsasayaw (swiftlet) bird’s nest industry in Town. Because the birds’ population has to rebound, the nest trade is being closely monitored and restricted. Many citizens now rely on tourism, which has been the town’s major industry for the past two decades.
